Description

David Bowie in the desert print version 2.

Taken by legendary photographer Brian Duffy.

In 1975 Duffy was asked to shoot Bowie for the Sunday Times during the filming of ‘The man who fell to Earth’.

This stunning image captures Bowie in the desert (White Sands, New Mexico) at night wearing a black suit and hat.

In 1979 Duffy walked away from the world of photography and took the extreme step of burning his own work in the yard of his studio.

Much of his work was destroyed.

The prints available on this site are taken from the negatives that were saved.

In conjunction with the Duffy Archive we present this official Giclee estate stamped print, produced by the Duffy Archive.

This print is available in two sizes ready mounted in a black acid free mount.

Print size: 22.8 x 12.7 cm (small) / 31 x 21 cm (large)

Mount Size: 31.5 cm  x 31.5 cm (small) / 50 x 50 cm (large)
